NOVETE Countertop Dishwasher Review — Enough for Your Dishes?
· NookPrep Editorial Team

The most important number on a dishwasher listing is not always the one that looks impressive. With the NOVETE TDQR01, the useful question is whether your everyday dishes make a practical load—and whether the whole wash routine fits your evening. This review examines the capacity and timing claims without turning them into promises the evidence cannot support.
Research-based review: NookPrep has not hands-on tested the NOVETE TDQR01. Published features are manufacturer claims; the buying judgments below are our editorial analysis. We have not independently measured cleaning, drying, sound, or durability.
Image note: the featured and supporting photos in this staging draft are contextual editorial images used to illustrate kitchen workflow. They do not depict the NOVETE TDQR01.
Our verdict
Consider the TDQR01 for manageable batches of everyday tableware, especially if a tank-based setup suits your kitchen. Be cautious if you want one compact machine to absorb every dish, container, and cooking vessel from a busy household.
We would put a realistic load check ahead of choosing between extra wash modes. A feature only adds value if the appliance can comfortably handle the things you need to clean.
Who should investigate it?
| Your priority | Our view |
|---|---|
| Reduce a predictable pile of everyday dishes | A reasonable use case to investigate |
| Wash bulky cookware alongside all your tableware | Capacity needs much closer scrutiny |
| Have dishes ready at a precise time | Verify the complete selected-cycle routine |
| Get independently proven drying results | More evidence is needed |
| Avoid a permanent water connection | Assess tank access and drainage together |
What NOVETE actually lists
NOVETE advertises the TDQR01 with a 5-liter tank and faucet supply option, dimensions of 16.9 × 16.8 × 18.1 inches, and four place settings. Its stated allowance for 12-inch dishes depends on angled loading. The listing names Normal, Speed, Soft, Baby Care/Heavy, and Fruit programs, quotes 29 minutes for Speed, and describes 60-minute hot-air drying plus extended ventilation. These are separate published claims, not a NookPrep test result or proof of one combined program sequence. NOVETE TDQR01 product information.
This is a model-specific review. Confirm the exact model, market version, electrical rating, and supplied instructions before buying; a matching brand name is not enough.
Four place settings is not a household-size guarantee
A household label can be a poor substitute for looking at the dishes in your sink. Two people who cook from scratch can have different needs from four people eating a simple meal. Tableware is only part of that difference.
Our suggested check starts with an ordinary dinner, not an unusually tidy load assembled for a product photograph. Include the bowls, mugs, containers, and utensils you usually reach for. Put cookware in a separate group so you can see exactly what you still expect to wash by hand.
Then ask whether the expected benefit is large enough. If the dishwasher could take care of the repetitive small pieces while you wash one pan, that may be a worthwhile division of labor. If most of your effort is scrubbing large cookware, the same purchase may disappoint.
The load worksheet we would use
| Write down | Why it helps |
|---|---|
| The items from your most frequent meal | Tests your normal routine rather than an occasional ideal load |
| The largest item you must fit | Identifies a possible deal-breaker early |
| Deep bowls, handles, and unusually shaped pieces | Prevents plate diameter from becoming your only fit check |
| Items you are content to hand-wash | Defines a realistic job for the machine |
| How often you are willing to run a load | Makes capacity meaningful in your household |
Use that list when asking the seller for an exact-model loading example. A useful demonstration should resemble your needs, with the rack in its working position. We have not verified such a load ourselves, so we would not promise a specific number of your dishes will fit.

A short wash claim is not your complete evening schedule
Treat the advertised quick-cycle figure as a program claim, not a deadline for a dry, put-away load. Before making plans around it, check the supplied manual for the chosen mode’s drying behavior and any options that change the sequence.
We would not simply add every duration on the product page and call the result a measured cycle time. The listing does not establish every program-and-option combination clearly enough for that.
For practical planning, separate three things:
- Hands-on work: preparing the load, adding water if needed, starting the machine, and unloading.
- Machine time: the selected wash and any applicable drying stage.
- Turnaround: when the particular dishes you need are actually ready to use again.
This distinction is especially useful if you own only a small set of dishes. If breakfast and dinner share the same favorite bowls, turnaround may matter more than the number of available programs.
Our buying preference would be to evaluate the routine on the cycle suitable for the ordinary load first. Treat a quick option as an additional convenience after its conditions are clear—not as the basis of the whole purchase.
Drying deserves its own question
The relevant question is not simply whether a listing mentions drying. It is whether the result meets your expectations for the items you use.
If storage containers dominate your sink, look for independent testing that includes comparable containers. If you mostly use mugs and plates, look for those. A general claim of dry dishes does not answer every material, shape, and loading scenario.
We have no TDQR01 drying measurements to offer. We would ask a reviewer or seller to identify the selected cycle, load, options, and point at which dryness was assessed. That context makes a demonstration more useful than an unexplained before-and-after photograph.
Likewise, we would not treat a program’s name as proof of a particular health or sterilization outcome. Our recommendation does not depend on a hygiene claim.

Check whether the kitchen can support the routine
Start with the place where the machine would live, then work outward. Is there room to load it? Can you reach the water-fill point? Where will the hose go under the manufacturer’s installation requirements? Can another person still use the kitchen comfortably?
Mark off the proposed counter area and try preparing a meal without using it. Then consider dirty-dish staging and unloading space, which are easy to forget when comparing closed dimensions.
A kitchen can have enough room for an appliance but too little room for a pleasant routine around it. If loading requires moving the coffee maker, filling requires moving the dishwasher, and unloading occupies the last clear surface, the purchase deserves another look.
Our smallest countertop dishwasher guide helps organize the measurements. Confirm the actual installation clearances and hose requirements with the documentation supplied for your NOVETE unit.
The trade-off we would accept—and the one we would not
We would consider accepting some manual filling and a limited load size in exchange for reducing an everyday chore. That is a personal convenience decision, and a fairly concrete one.
We would not accept a vague answer to a question that determines whether the purchase works at all: whether your essential dish fits, whether the seller supports your exact unit, or whether a return is practical after discovering a mismatch.
Before buying, obtain the return conditions, warranty coverage, and support contact for your seller and destination. Ask about replacement consumable or service parts if access to them matters to your ownership plans.
This is also why we have left out a fixed price and a “best value” badge. Value depends on the offer and alternatives available when you buy, along with your actual use—not on a number copied from an old review.
What would change our recommendation?
A strong hands-on follow-up would show a representative load before and after washing, identify the cycle and detergent, document drying, and repeat the process with different ordinary meals. Long-term support evidence would answer a different question: what happens when the machine needs help.
Until we have comparable evidence, we would not rank NOVETE above Hermitlux or HAVA for cleaning, quietness, or reliability. Similar-looking specifications are not a controlled comparison.
If you are still considering the format itself, read our countertop versus portable dishwasher comparison. If the format works and you are comparing models, use the countertop dishwasher hub and HAVA R01 versus R09 guide to continue your shortlist.
Questions before checkout
Would we buy it for a family based on the capacity label alone?
No. We would first compare a typical meal’s dishes with an exact-model loading demonstration and decide how many loads are acceptable. Household headcount is not enough to answer that question.
Can we confirm dishes will be clean and dry at the end of the shortest program?
We cannot. We have not tested that result, and the complete sequence needs confirmation from the supplied manual for the selected mode. Do not plan around an unsupported ready-to-use deadline.
Is it a better choice than a larger dishwasher?
It may be a more suitable purchase where the setup works and the desired loads are modest. If most of your washing-up is large cookware or accumulated dishes, investigate capacity before choosing compactness.
Should you buy the NOVETE TDQR01?
Shortlist it if you want help with a defined daily load and can verify that the loading, setup, and seller terms work for you. Keep looking if your decision depends on unverified family-capacity promises or a guaranteed wash-and-dry deadline.
The best reason to buy this model would be that it fits your actual dishes and routine. Make those the deciding tests.
